The phosphorus-free scale inhibitor is prepared from, by mass, 2%-10% of polyepoxysuccinic acid, 2%-10% of polyaspartic acid, 3%-12% of polyacrylic acid/2-acrylamide-2-methyl propanesulfonic acid copolymer, 3%-15% of styrene sulfonic acid-maleic anhydride copolymer, 2%-15% of polyethylene polyamine, 3%-11% of sodium citrate, 2%-7% of gallotannic acid and 42%-80% of deionized water. Compared with a traditional scale inhibitor, the scale inhibitor has advantages that an excellent scale inhibiting effect on saline-alkaline water high in scaling trend is achieved, a great scale inhibiting effect on carbonate, sulfate, silicate and the like in water is achieved, high compatibility to other agents in the system is realized, the membrane service life can be greatly prolonged, membrane contamination is reduced, and freeness of phosphorus and environmental friendliness are realized.
