Only the areasof different suitability evaluation indexes and the area and distribution of respective areas can be selected by comparing the grid value in a grid image formed by the analytic hierarchy process withthe suitability evaluation index assignment criteria. The method is easy and convenient to operate, high in degree of intellectualization, and high in degree of visualization, greatly reduces the human, material, and financial investment for suitability evaluation of the stony desertification areas in the prior art, is applicable to various stony desertification areas, and has good promotion adaptability.
