description The invention discloses a method for intelligently determining the suitability of immigration in a stony desertification area. On the bases of an analysis result of the importance degree of each indexby a Delphi method, an analytic hierarchy process is used to further determine the weight of the analysis result, thereby improving the accuracy of the importance degree of each index. Only the areasof different suitability evaluation indexes and the area and distribution of respective areas can be selected by comparing the grid value in a grid image formed by the analytic hierarchy process withthe suitability evaluation index assignment criteria.
