The method comprises the following steps of using genome DNA of broad beans to be tested as templates; and performing PCR amplification on EST786 primers; if products exist in an 800 to 1000bp interval in the PCR amplification, the broad beans to be tested are broad beans with the tannin-free properties; if products exist in a 1000 to 1200bp interval in the PCR amplification, the broad beans to be tested are broad beans without the tannin-free properties; the EST786 primer consists of single-chain DNA molecules shown as the sequence 1 and the single-chain DNA molecules shown as the sequence 2; the EST786 primer is applied to auxiliary identification of the broad bean seed coat tannin-free property.
