The invention discloses a power control method and system for an energy storage power supply system. The method comprises the steps of obtaining power of a first load, power of a second load and powerof a transformer; controlling an energy storage unit to output preset discharge power to meet the power requirement of the second load when the surplus power after the power of the transformer meetsthe power requirement of the first load is smaller than the power of the second load; and controlling the energy storage unit to enter a discharge state and a by-pass module to be in a reverse conduction state when a switch is turned off, thereby making the energy storage unit provide the second load with electricity through an inverter and the by-pass module in sequence and provide the first loadwith the electricity through the inverter.
