Rubber asphalt and preparation method thereof

The invention provides rubber asphalt. The rubber asphalt comprises matrix asphalt, a rubber powder modifier, a crosslinking agent and an SBS modifier. Based on the total weight 100 percent of the rubber asphalt, the rubber asphalt comprises 80 to 85 percent of matrix asphalt, 0.5 to 1 percent of a crosslinking agent, 0.5 to 1 percent of an SBS modifier and the balance of a rubber powder modifier. The rubber powder modifier is novel rubber powder which is treated by processes of high-temperature desulfurization, stabilizer plasticization, continuous pelletization and the like.
