The three-dimensional model self-correction method of the ancient building includes the following steps: S1, carrying out three-dimensional point cloud scanning on the ancient building; S2, judging whether ancient building scanning information is continuous; and S3, judging whether a non-continuous area of the scanning information needs to be corrected, and generating a correction preview for points which needs to be corrected therein. The invention also provides a three-dimensional point cloud scanning system of the ancient building.
