The invention discloses application of a whole-blood 88-microRNA (Ribonucleic Acid) marker as a diagnostic target of a chronic liver disease. Through a great number of studies, an inventor identifies one group of molecular tags consisting of 88 microRNAs; results show that the tag can be used for completely distinguishing normal people, people with chronic hepatitis B, people with liver cirrhosis and people with liver cancer.
