Active optical cable connector and active cable assembly using same

The invention relates to an active optical cable connector and an active cable assembly using the same. The active optical cable assembly includes the active optical cable connector. The housing of the connector includes an upper housing and a lower housing buckling each other. A mounting space used for mounting a photoelectric converting circuit board assembly is formed between the upper housing and the lower housing. The active optical cable assembly also includes a tail sleeve whose front end protrudes into the housing of the connector and provided with an inner cavity through which an optical cable passes through. After the upper housing and the lower housing are fixed relative to each other with screws, the screws penetrate through fixing holes of connection lugs. The tail sleeve can be dismounted through removing the screws on the housing, so that maintenance convenience is achieved.
