The seeds are respectively soaked into a mixed solution of NaHCO3 and NaCl and a mixed solution of choline chloride and humic acid, so that the germination of the seeds is promoted, the harm, caused by the arid saline-alkali soil, to the seeds is relieved, the resistance of the seeds is improved, the speed of seed germination is accelerated, the uniformity of the seed germination is improved, and the germination rate of the seeds is further increased; after the method is used for treating the seeds, the germination rate of the seeds in an arid saline-alkali field reaches 92.4%, and the germination rate of the edible sunflower seeds is greatly improved.
