Provided is a refractory material for a homogeneous skimming ball for a continuous casting ladle. The refractory material is prepared from, by weight, 62%-80% of ZrO2, 14%-32% of Al2O3, 2%-6% of SiO2, 2%-4% of SiC, 3.0%-6.5% of silica sol and the balance inevitable impurities.
