The invention discloses a variable empennage system of an FSAE racing car. The variable empennage system comprises two empennage side plates and flap empennage sheets, and further comprises a six-rod driving mechanism, a manual control module and an automatic control module. The six-rod driving mechanism comprises steering engines, connecting rods and rocker arms, wherein the steering engines, the connecting rods and the rocker arms are arranged on the empennage side plates, and the output ends of the steering engines drive the flap empennage sheets to rotate through the connecting rods and the rocker arms.
