The sweet melon culture medium consists of the following components in parts by weight: 350-447 parts of mushroom residues, 1.5 parts of a leavening agent, 28-33 parts of urea, 45-60 parts of calcium superphosphate and 26-30 parts of potassium sulfate. The preparation method comprises the following steps: mixing the leavening agent, the urea, calcium superphosphate and potassium sulfate into a mixture; horizontally spreading a portion of the mixture to be one layer, horizontally spreading a layer of mushroom residues on the mixture, spreading a layer of the mixture on the mushroom residues, and spreading a layer of mushroom residues on the mixture, and the like; and leaching the stacked mushroom residue stack, turning the stack, and carrying out high-temperature fermentation and decomposition.
