description The invention provides a high-order frequency multiplier based on IMPATT (Impact Avalanche and Transit Time) diode. The IMPATT diode in the frequency multiplier works in an avalanche breakdown mode, and generates high-order harmonic of input signal f due to strong nonlinear characteristic thereof. A top adjusting bolt and a T-shaped cavity shorting piston are used for enabling the high-order frequency multiplier to efficiently generate n*f frequency. The top adjusting bolt is positioned above an upper electrode of the IMPATT diode; by adjusting the top adjusting bolt, the resonance frequency of a T-shaped cavity can be adjusted to the frequency n*f, and the output energy can be effectively output towards the output end of the T-shaped cavity. The output end of the T-shaped cavity is connected to the input end of an isolator, the output end of the isolator is connected with a filter, and the filter is used for separating out the needed output frequency n*f and inhibiting the harmonic frequency of other order.
