Lockable pressure casing

The present invention discloses a lockable pressure casing. The casing for an electrical or electronic appliance preferably for medical use, has an access hood, access cover or similar casing part which, for the purpose of closing the casing or a casing opening, can be fixed on the casing by means of a locking mechanism, which can be actuated from outside the casing. The locking mechanism has at least one bolt/slide, which is retained in a longitudinally displaceable manner on the casing or on the access hood/access cover and on which are provided a ramp and an undercut or latching nose, which is spaced apart from the ramp in the sliding direction, whereas the access hood/access cover or the casing has provided on it at least one protrusion which, for the purpose of defining two engagement means, is designed and/or arranged such that, in dependence on the current sliding position of the bolt/slide, it comes into operative engagement alternately with the associated latching nose, for drawing the access hood/ac
