Making method for color filter

The invention discloses a making method for a color filter. The making method comprises the steps that the surface of a substrate is coated with a shading layer; the shading layer is subjected to slotting to form a black matrix layer and sub-pixel regions; each black matrix comprises a bottom face and a top face, wherein the bottom face is attached to the substrate, the top face is located on the surface, away from the substrate, of the black matrix, and the area of the bottom face is smaller than the area of the top face; the sub-pixel regions and the black matrixes are arranged alternately at intervals; each sub-pixel region is located between every two adjacent black matrixes; the sub-pixel regions form a color filtering layer. The color filter obtained through the making method has a smooth surface without a segment difference and can prevent light leakage.
