The invention discloses a decorative umbrella stick and a manufacturing method thereof. The decorative umbrella stick comprises a bearing pipe body, an outer casing pipe connected with the bearing pipe body in a sleeving mode and a decoration layer arranged between the bearing pipe body and the outer casing pipe; the outer casing pipe is made of transparent or semitransparent materials, and the decoration layer is closely arranged on the outer wall of the bearing pipe body in an attaching mode. The manufacturing method of the decorative umbrella stick comprises the following steps that 1, the decoration layer is closely arranged on the outer wall of the bearing pipe body in the attaching mode; 2, the bearing pipe body closely provided with the decoration layer in the attaching mode is integrally inserted into the outer casing pipe to enable the decoration layer to be in interference fit or close fit with the inner wall of the outer casing pipe. Compared with the prior art, the decorative umbrella stick has the advantages that due to the fact that a heat shrinking film decoration layer is arranged between the bearing pipe body and the outer casing pipe, the decorative effect of the decoration layer can be consistent with that of an umbrella fabric, and the decorative effect is better and more attractive; on the other hand, due to the fact the outer casing pipe is made of the soft materials, when the surface of the outer casing pipe is in sliding fit with a plastic runner, friction force and friction noise are obviously reduced.
