Memory allocation method and apparatus

The present invention discloses a memory allocation method. The method comprises: acquiring a first memory block from total memory, wherein the first memory block comprises a plurality of second memory blocks that are different in size; according to a demand of a service for memory, from the first memory block, determining one second memory block that meets the demand, or from the total memory, acquiring another first memory block that meets the demand; and allocating the second memory block or the another first memory block to the service. According to the memory allocation method provided by the embodiment of the present invention, according to a demand of a service for memory, a suitable second memory block can be applied for from one first memory block of total memory, thereby realizing parallel allocation of memory and improving memory allocation efficiency and a memory usage rate.
