The Internet of things gateway comprises a data receiving module, a transmitting module and a processing module connected with the data receiving module and the transmission module, wherein the data receiving module comprises a plurality of receiving units and is used for receiving data transmitted by an acquiring device, the acquiring device is connected with the corresponding receiving unit in the data receiving module, the transmitting module comprises a plurality of transmitting units, and the processing module is used for processing the data according to a communication protocol corresponding to the receiving unit which receives the data and transmitting the processed data to a server through the corresponding transmitting unit in the transmitting module. The invention further discloses a control method of the Internet of things gateway. The Internet of things gateway can be connected with multiple acquiring devices at the same time, and the received data of the acquiring devices can be processed according to corresponding communication protocols.
