The electric fan comprises a remote-control unit, a pulse width modulator, a timer, a processor, a storage device, a driving circuit, a bidirectional SCR, a screen and an infrared ray receiving module; the infrared ray receiving module is connected with the processor, and the remote-control unit is connected with the processor through the infrared ray receiving module; the pulse width modulator, the storage device and the timer are connected with the processor, a plurality of time periods are set in the timer by the remote-control unit through the processor, the pulse widths of all time periods are set through the pulse width modulator, and the pulse widths corresponding to the time periods are stored in the storage device; the driving circuit is connected with the processor and the bidirectional SCR, obtains the pulse widths stored in the storage device through the processor, and sends the pulse widths to the bidirectional SCR to control the current pulses flowing to a motor of the electric fan; and the screen is connected with the processor. By means of the electric fan, the defect that the wind power of the electric fan cannot be automatically changed can be overcome.
