description The invention relates to a welding method of chrome-molybdenum vanadium steel for super-thick pressure vessels, which belongs to the technical field of welding and solves the quality problems of low welding efficiency, high tendency of no fusion, cold cracks, joint embrittlement and the like in the welding process in the prior art. The welding method comprises the following steps: (1) processing an abutting end groove, wherein the groove is a single-sided U-shaped groove; (2) abutting two chrome-molybdenum vanadium steel plates to be welded, and fixing by spot welding; (3) carrying out multipass welding from inside to outside by narrow-clearance submerged arc welding; and (4) after reverse back chipping, carrying out arc welding on the corresponding welding rod. The method can be used for welding the high-thickness chrome-molybdenum vanadium steel plates with the welding thickness of at least 100mm, and the welding joint has excellent quality, thereby ensuring all regions of the welding joint to have qualified mechanical properties.
