description The invention relates to a dual fall detection system and method based on a detecting carpet and a wearing device. The system comprises: a detecting carpet paved on the ground and comprising a plurality of detection units arranged on the ground, wherein each detection unit is used for outputting a pressure signal containing relevant position information when being pressed and sending position acknowledgment information containing the relevant position information based on a short distance transmission protocol; a wearing device worn on a human body and used for receiving the position acknowledgment information within a transmission distance range of the short distance transmission protocol and forwarding detection information containing the position acknowledgment information; an analyzing device connected with each pressure sensor and the wearing device and used for determining whether the human body falls down based on the received pressure signal and the detection information and sending fall promoting information when determining that the human body falls down. The dual fall detection system provided by the invention is used for quickly detecting a fall event via a simple calculated amount, and meanwhile, the accuracy is quite high.
