The invention relates to a method and device for reminding residual internet traffic of a mobile subscriber. The method comprises the following steps: inquiring using information of internet traffic of the mobile subscriber in the current month; obtaining traffic occupation ratio information of various internet-surfing behaviors of the mobile subscriber in the last month; pre-estimating the residual traffic of the various internet-surfing behaviors of the mobile subscriber in the current month according to the using information of the internet traffic of the mobile subscriber in the current month and the traffic occupation ratio information of the various internet-surfing behaviors of the mobile subscriber in the last month; determining residual frequency or residual time duration of the various internet-surfing behaviors of the mobile subscriber in the current month according to the residual traffic of the various internet-surfing behaviors of the mobile subscriber in the current month; and pushing the determined residual frequency or residual time duration of the various internet-surfing behaviors of the mobile subscriber in the current month to the mobile subscriber. The method can enable the mobile subscriber to use the residual internet traffic in the current month reasonably, so that the mobile subscriber is allowed to use the traffic in the current month to the greatest degree within a traffic plan range conveniently.
