The tri-channel LED driver chip comprises a signal analysis module, a decoder, a driving current control module, an LED driving module, an oscillating module and an encoder, wherein the signal analysis module is used for receiving gray-level data inputted externally and outputting the gray-level data at the output end of the signal analysis module; the decoder is used for receiving the gray-level data outputted by the signal analysis module and decoding the gray-level data to output decoded information; the driving current control module is used for receiving the decoded information, confirming a PWM (pulse-width modulation) signal according to a preset mapping relation between the decoded information and the PWM signal and the received decoded information, and outputting the PWM signal at the output end of the driving current control module; the LED driving module is used for receiving the PWM signal outputted by the driving current control module and regulating driving current of a red-light diode, a green-light diode and a blue-light diode according to the PWM signal; the decoder is used for receiving the decoded information, encoding the decoded information, restoring the decoded information to the gray-level data and outputting the gray-level data at the output end of the encoder.
