Component supply unit

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a component supply unit capable of securely cutting a cover tape so as to reliably supply an electronic component. Inclined guide surfaces (64) are each formed on the right and left sides in a guide portion (283) provided on a tape processing unit (28) to guide the end of cut-open right and left cover tapes (C1, C2) while pushing open the same in the upper direction. Two-staged upper and lower cutouts (step) (284, 285) and cutouts (step) (286, 287), which are formed by cutting out corners at right angles, are formed in the conveyance direction (forward direction) of a housing tape (CX) at the right and left corners below the guide portion (283). A tape pushing portion (288) projecting downward is formed between the lower right and left cutouts (284, 285).
