The invention provides an elevator maintenance inspection brake controller; when checking a double brake of the elevator, an elevator car needs not to be lifted to a higher position for inspection, and the brake cannot be released by accident in inspection; the elevator maintenance inspection brake controller uses two brakes to brake a motor driving the elevator car; in maintenance, a brake coil can release the brake; the brake coil is connected with a brake controller; the brake controller comprises the following elements: normally closed contacts respectively connected with each brake; a brake safety circuit connected with the normally closed contacts and used for moving the brake coil; a connecting portion connected with the brake safety circuit and used for switching a first circuit and a second circuit of the safety circuit; a brake release unit detachably connected with the connecting portion and used for indicating switching of the connecting portion.
