Zusammenfassung: | The invention discloses a simple method for visually, continuously and nondestructively measuring plant root elongation. The method includes the steps of firstly, vertically inserting the main root of a to-be-measured plant into a graduated transparent tube, wherein the upper-end opening of the tube contacts with and is fixed with the base of the root; secondly, placing the transparent tube with the root into a container filled with nutrient solution to allow the transparent tube to be vertically placed and immersed by the solution; thirdly, taking out the plant and the transparent tube at different time periods, and directly reading the root length through the scale marks of the transparent tube. By the simple method for visually, continuously and nondestructively measuring plant root elongation, influence of root bending on measuring results is avoided. |
