description The embodiment of the invention provides a method and a device for building a process meta model. The method comprises the following steps of obtaining process meta information of a vehicle, wherein the process meta information comprises a project set, a task set and an activity set, the project set comprises at least one project, the task set comprises at least one task, and the activity set comprises at least one activity; obtaining structure tree data of the vehicle from a structure tree database, wherein the structure tree data of the vehicle contains components of the vehicle and the hierarchical relationship of the components; utilizing the process meta information and the structure tree data to build at least one process meta model, wherein the process meta information is used for presenting the mapping relationship among one project, at least one task and at least one activity; storing the at least one process meta model into a process meta model database. The method has the advantage that in the subsequent development process of the vehicle, the actual development process of the vehicle can be obtained on the basis of the process meta model, and the development efficiency is favorably improved.
