Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to a heating and cooling device (1) for a battery, in particular for a motor vehicle. The device is provided with an electrically conductive base plate (2) for thermal coupling to the battery, wherein the base plate (2) may include at least one fluid path (6) for flowing through by a coolant, so as to cool the battery; a carrier plate (3) of an electrically non-conductive material, into which at least one electric heating element (4) may be inserted, the electric heating element (4) being connected electrically with the electrically conductive base plate (2); and an electrically conductive cover plate (5) being connected electrically with the electric heating element (4); and the base plate (2), the carrier plate (3) and the cover plate (5) may be stacked on one another along a stacking direction (S).
