The method comprises the steps that information of the task, in an unexecuted task state, to be executed is acquired from a task state table; an identification of a node server for executing the task to be executed is acquired; when a timestamp for executing the task to be executed arrives, the identification of the node server for executing the task to be executed is sent to the node server so that the node server can acquire the task to be executed according to an identification of the task to be executed and then executes the task to be executed; when the node server fails executing the task to be executed, a task response is sent to a management node server so that the management node server can modify the task state of the task to be executed into the unexecuted task state, and then other node servers except the node server in a cluster can execute the task to be executed. The device comprises a first acquisition module, a second acquisition module, a first sending module and a second sending module. By means of the method, the task execution reliability of the cluster servers can be guaranteed.
