Driving apparatus for liquid crystal display

The invention provides a driving apparatus for a liquid crystal display, the driving apparatus comprising a source driving unit and a channel selection unit. The source driving unit is used for driving the liquid crystal display, and includes a plurality of data driving channels and at least one spare driving channel. The channel selection unit is coupled to the source driving unit. The channel selection unit selectively outputs driving signals of some data driving channels and the spare driving channel under a normal operating state according to a test result, so as to drive the liquid crystal display. Alternatively, the channel selection unit selectively outputs driving signals of the data driving channels under the normal operating state according to the test result, so as to drive the liquid crystal display.
