In a stage of yellow ripeness of the rice, namely, when 90 percent of rice glumes on a spike turn yellow, 30-50 kg of quick drying solution is sprayed on each mu of rice field, and contains 5-20 percent by weight of urea or ammonium sulfate, 0.008-0.012 percent by weight of 2,4-D and the balance of water. In the stage of yellow ripeness of the rice, the quick drying solution is sprayed, the maturing of the rice can be accelerated, and the water content of grains is reduced. Practices prove that after the quick drying solution is sprayed on the rice plants, the water content of the grains is reduced to 17 percent from 25 percent within 4-6 days, the germination rate is increased by 3-5 percent and the yield can be increased by 2-3 percent.
