Zusammenfassung:Provided is a hydrogen sulfide synthesis reactor that causes a gas phase reaction without a catalyst between sulfur and hydrogen to synthesize hydrogen sulfide, wherein the reactor is provided with: a main reactor body that retains liquid sulfur at the bottom thereof; a heating unit that gasifies a portion of the liquid sulfur; a hydrogen gas supply unit that supplies hydrogen gas to the liquid sulfur; and a heat exchanger provided to a gas phase reaction region above the liquid surface of the liquid sulfur in the main reactor body. The hydrogen sulfide synthesis reactor is configured in a manner so that the heat exchanger alters the amount of heat exchange per unit volume of the gas phase reaction region far from the liquid surface and the amount of heat exchange per unit volume of the gas phase reaction region close to the liquid surface, causing the reaction temperature in the gas phase reaction region to be within predetermined temperatures.
