The invention relates to a social search system and a social search method. The social search system is used for searching a plurality of topics of at least one network community, wherein each topic comprises basic information on the topic, topic associated information, created member information for creating the topic and associated member information associated with the topic; the social search system comprises a search interface and a topic search system; the search interface is used for receiving a search request made by a search user and judging whether the search user is a community member of the network community; and the topic search system is used for searching topics matched with the search request from the topics of the network community, ordering the searched topics and showing links of the topics to the search user.
