The invention relates to pharmaceutical glass, in particular to a borosilicate glass sleeve for a pen type syringe and a preparation method of the borosilicate glass sleeve. The borosilicate glass sleeve is characterized by comprising chemical composition of SiO2, Al2O3, B2O3, K2O, Na2O, CaO, MgO, BaO and Fe2O3. The preparation method includes steps: firstly, using a forming machine to forming the pharmaceutical neutral borosilicate glass sleeve; secondly, annealing the formed glass sleeve in an electric annealing furnace; thirdly, visually checking the glass sleeve, and fourthly, packaging and storing. The borosilicate glass sleeve and the preparation method have the advantages that the glass performance can reach the first-level waterproof requirement by means of the materials and the preparation method, content of silica, alumina and boron trioxide is high, and content of alkali metallic oxide is low, so that high chemical stability, thermal stability and mechanical strength or products can be guaranteed.
