The invention discloses a method and device for controlling loading of a 3G service, which are used for automatically identifying whether the user equipment comprises a 3G module so as to load corresponding services with same application program software for the user equipment with the 3G function and the user equipment without the 3G function, thereby saving resources and improving efficiency. The method comprises the following steps of: detecting a pin used for connecting the 3G module on a master control board in the user equipment to judge whether the user equipment comprises the 3G module; and when the user equipment comprises the 3G module and the 3G module works regularly, executing the operation of loading the 3G service for the user equipment.
