description The invention provides a method for analyzing genetic diversity of carambola variety. The method is characterized in that DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) of the carambola to be tested is extracted by a CTAB (cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide) method for later use; 13 primers capable of obtaining clear polymorphic bands and stably reacting are screened from synthesized 138 RAPD (random amplified polymorphic DNA) random primers; and the screened 13 primers are respectively utilized to carry out PCR (polymerase chain reaction) on the DNA of the carambola to be tested, and the corresponding processing is carried out on the amplification results. The method provided by the invention has the advantage of providing a certain reference for distinguishing the carambola varieties with the same name and different varieties or the same variety and different names, thereby laying the foundation for the breeding and popularization of high-quality seeds in carambola industry of Fujian Province of China.
