Zusammenfassung:	The implant (2) has a cup (3) fixed in an acetabular cavity and comprising a hemispherical polar part (4) and an equatorial part (5) extending the polar part, where the polar and equatorial parts define a hemispherical inner cavity (6). An insert (7) is articulately mounted in the inner cavity, and defines an inner cavity (9) with an inner spherical surface portion (11). The insert is mounted in an articulated manner, where the height of the equatorial part of the cup varies in a decreasing manner according to increase in size of the implant.
