Functional fiber

The invention discloses a functional fiber. The functional fiber is made from a functional master batch and a polymer carrier by blending and melt-spinning, wherein the functional master batch accounts for 0.5-20 wt% of the fiber; and the functional master batch comprises the following components wula sedge micropowder and bamboo charcoal which are in weight ratio of 1: 0.4-2.4. The novel functional fiber of the invention is made from nano materials of wula sedge (natural herbaceous plant in northeast of China) and natural bamboo charcoal by blending and spinning. The fiber has the functions of the two materials; and thus, the fiber has the advantages of high practicality and value due to the complementation of the advantages. Textiles made of the functional fiber have the outstanding characteristics of warm keeping and humidity control and enhance the comfort level for wearing.
