The LCD device comprises a first substrate having a pixel electrode thereof; a second substrate having a common electrode thereon; and a liquid crystal layer sandwiched between the first substrate and the second substrate, wherein the LCD device includes a plurality of unit regions, each unit region includes at least one first field and one second field, and the electric field distribution in the first field is different from the electric field distribution in the second field.
