description A sorbent for treatment of beer, wine spirits and fruit beverages, comprises a copolymer of poly-6-caprolactam and polyethylene oxide containing 0.5 to 30% weight of bonded polyethyleneoxide structures. The porous structure of the sorbent amounts to 1 to 60%, the mean diameter of pores 1 to 60 mu m, the volume of pores 0.1 to 5.1 ml/g, the specific surface area of pores 0.1 to 60 m2/g. When manufacturing said sorbent, a mixture of 6-caprolactam and alpha ,???-diaminopolyethyleneoxide of molecular weight of 600 to 5000 is polymerised in presence of a twin component initiator system. After polymerisation, the polymer is deactivated, the product is solved in caprolactam and after cooling of the solution 6-caprolactam is extracted from the solid composite. The obtained suspension is rinsed and dried.
