Le procédé comprend la mise en contact des huiles végétales et des lipides de source animale comestibles ou non comestibles et dun catalyseur synthétisé à partir dun mélange de métaux de transition appartenant aux périodes quatre à six et aux groupes IV à XI du tableau périodique suspendus dans des matériaux mésoporeux. Les huiles végétales comestibles ou non comestibles peuvent constituer de lhuile de palme ou une autre huile.
