Linvention concerne un procédé dextraction à base de sable bitumineux à base deau comprenant lintroduction dun courant dalimentation comprenant du bitume, des solides et de leau dans un récipient dextraction; et lintroduction dune mousse de lavage dans le récipient dextraction au-dessus dune couche de mousse dans le récipient dextraction pour faciliter lélimination des solides de la couche de mousse.
