description | The method for producing an image of the surface of the Earth from a moving carrier and the device used relate to Earth remote sensing, and specifically to aerial photography of the surface of the Earth, and can be used in photogrammetry, monitoring vast expanses and extensive entities, in large-scale topographic photography and in design/surveying work. The method consists in photographing the surface at an angle to the vertical, said angle gradually increasing to the ends of the frame, the long side of said frame being transverse to the direction of flight. When producing sub-frames, said sub-frames forming a central projection frame, all light receivers are exposed simultaneously, and the ratio of the width of the frame strip to the length thereof is kept within the limits of 1:5100. The device comprises light receivers affixed to a holding apparatus in such a way that the projections of the optical axes of said receivers onto a vertical plane are at an angle to the vertical, unidirectionally changing from one light receiver to the next by less than the projection angle of the light receiver field of vision on said plane. Moreover, the projections of the optical axes of said light receivers on another vertical plane, perpendicular to the first, form inter se an angle no larger than 50% of the projection angle of the light receiver field of vision on this plane. This provides for high photograph output with a simultaneous improvement in the quality of the resultant image. |
