L'invention concerne des molécules d'ADN codant la protéine de HPV58 L1. Elle concerne, plus particulièrement, des polynucléotides codant la protéine de HPV58 L1, lesdits polynucléotides présentant une optimisation au niveau du codon dans le but d'une expression à niveau élevé dans une cellule de levure. On peut utiliser ces molécules synthétiques afin de produire des particules semblables au virus HPV58 (VLP), ainsi que des vaccins et des compositions pharmaceutiques contenant ces VLP de HPV58.
