The belt (10) comprises a resinous framework (20) having a web si de surface (21) defining an X-Y plane, a backside surface (22) opposite the web - side surface, a Z-direction perpendicular to the X-Y plane, and a plurality of discrete deflection conduits (30) extending between the web-side surface and the backside surface. Each of the discrete conduits (30) has an axis (33) and walls (35). The axes (33) of at least some of the discrete conduits (30) and the Z-direction form acute angles (Q) therebetween.
