ALKALINE CELLULASE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

The present invention provides a cellulase composition obtainable from Bacillus sp. CBS 670.93. A preferred cellulase has a calculated molecular weight of approximately 50 kD, a calculated isoelectric point of about 4 and a pH optimum on CMC of about 6-10 at 40.degree.C and about 7 at 60.degree.C.
