description | A novel thermoplastic multilayer composite comprising a layer of a moulding composition based on a polyamide and intimately bonded to a layer of a moulding composition based on a mixture of 95 to 60% by weight of a linear, crystalline polyester and 5 to 40% by weight of a polymer containing reactive groups other than epoxy groups. At least 50% of the end groups of the polyamide are amino end groups. The multilayer composite according to the invention have a good mechanical resistance and a good barrier action against diffusion of chemical agents, sol- vents and fuels. Since the two layers are intimately bonded one to another, no shearing or delamination of the layers occur during thermal expansion or bending. The multilayer composites according to the invention may be used for manufacturing of con- struction components, in electrical, mechanical and car industries or as foodstuffs packaging films. |
