The sealing surfaces of the seat and of the flap disc make an angle which enables a partial throughflow, the valve closing fully after a given pressure of the reverse flow is reached. The flow area of the partial throughflow is equal to 5-80 per cent of the maximum through-flow area of the valve seat.
