This permits the vehicle to be manoeuvred easily with a small turning circle and permits very good visibility between the front tyres. The gearing (32) is constructed to be high and very narrow and is located directly in front of the vehicle cab (16). As a result, a vehicle is obtained with a narrow outline by means of which the field of vision between the front wheels (20) is further increased. As a result of the position of the gearing (32) the space under the vehicle cab (16) remains free and can accommodate an enlarged fuel tank (34).
