Zusammenfassung:	The lightning protector consists of a housing (2) containing a first electrode (3) connected to the protected network, a second electrode (4) connected to earth, and a focusser (5) that guides an electric arc generated between the electrodes to a divider (6). The focusser is in the form of an inverted pyramidal space (10) between the electrodes and the divider, which consists of a series of spaced metal plates (14). The housing has at least one outlet channel (7) shaped to present internal obstacles to any fluids or residues released by the formation of an electric arc. Each of the channels has a chicane (20) forming an angle of between 45 and 180 degrees and at least one change in cross-section.
